Abstract
This volume is a catalogue with accompanying essays for the exhibition "Sold! The Great British Antiques Story" held at the Bowes Museum from 26th January - 5th May 2019. My contribution to this volume is an essay exploring one aspect of the relationship between the British Museum and antiques dealers. It explores the way in which A.W. Franks and John Webb worked together throughout 1855 and concludes that their collaboration was an important one which requires further scholarly attention.
