Abstract
Editorial The three papers in this issue epitomise the range of subjects covered by BMSAES: a report on new fieldwork, the publication of an object in a museum collection, and a study of the modern reception and presentation of ancient artefacts. The journal is intended to cover the same range of cultures and time periods as the Department of Ancient Egypt and Sudan, namely the prehistoric, ancient and pre-modern cultures of Egypt and Sudan. Contents The Poetics of Egyptian museum practice (Wendy Doyon) Tombos and the Viceroy Inebny/Amenemnekhu (Vivian Davies) A Mamluk Coin from Kulubnarti, Sudan (Julie Anderson)
