Abstract
This volume, which originated in the 1986 conference on Anglo-Saxon Glass for the Archaeologist and Historian held at the British Museum, presents an up-to-date overview of the evidence for glass and glassworking in Britain and Ireland between 350 and 1100. The eleven papers are divided into three sections and includes discussions of late Roman glass vessels in Britain, Anglo-Saxon window glass, beads and jewellery insets, Saxon glassworking at Glastonbury Abbey and Irish Early Christian glass.
