Abstract

This paper will examine the process taken to review current collection environment practices and the stakeholder management processes applied to various departments across the British Museum. The paper will provide key details on the parameters and controls considered for temperature, relative humidity, and light in the new guidance document, and consider successes and obstacles encountered throughout the project. Two case studies are included to show how the review has impacted on projects and collection environment since the new guidance has been authorised and brought into use.
