Uniquely, Ashurbanipal’s Library colophons were standardised; they appear word-for-word on multiple tablets. Perhaps the ultimate example of this type of colophon is one attached to dozens of tablets dedicated by Ashurbanipal to Nabà», patron of Assyria’s kings, and god of the scribal art.
